About Us
The school had its humble beginnings at Flaiz Adventist College, Narsapur with Mr. and Mrs. Moses taking care of the seven children in a rented property. The couple shifted to Bobbili due to their work and due to the significant rise of children getting admitted to the school, a 13 acre land was purchased through aid from generous donors in Mettavalasa, Bobbili where the present campus is located.
The school includes a boarding facility for both boys and girls, spacious classrooms with well-equipped furniture, computer lab and a referential Braille school library. The students are given vocational training on various skills such as sports and music, as part of the school curriculum. Apart from the physical, mental and spiritual education, the children are also trained for the daily challenges they might face such as how to walk and adjust themselves in various surroundings as well as how to use a walking stick and recognize methods of area searching. The children are given special parental care with round the clock aid and attention in all their activities.
The school equipped with special Computer Education associated with Enable India NGO, Bangalore to give special training to Blind Children with learning Keyboard, MS Office, GMAIL, Paint etc,. with the help of NVDA Voice response software. Braille education is enhanced with Orbit Reader Device which is highly sophisticated to learn 8 dotted Braille language. Raised Lines Organization, Delhi, Enable India, Bangalore and Vision Aid, Mumbai are involved with us in training and enhancing technology development to Blind Children.
